June 23rd: Sheboygan Harbor Centre Bike Race
About the Venue
When Sheboygan, Wisconsin, was selected by a Reader's Digest Survey as "The Number One Place in the Nation to Raise a Family," the poll focused on family life, an absence of crime, low rates of drug and alcohol abuse, good public schools, first-rate health care, a clean environment, affordable cost of living and strong economic growth.
Money Magazine looked at this same data when they talked to retirees who chose their new hometowns specifically for retirement. Sheboygan was ranked number one in the region and described as "a small town with everything: world-class golf courses, notable restaurants, even hot-stone massages."
Sheboygan is a community that boasts miles of magnificent Lake Michigan shoreline on the east and lush, forested hills in the Northern Kettle Moraine on the west. The distinct seasons of winter, fall, summer and spring afford opportunity for recreation at any level of interest.
Multi-generations have put down such deep roots in Sheboygan, and today a pleasant life style keep young people in the area to make a positive impact on the community. After all, a great hometown is about people.
