Tour of America's Dairyland Offers Perks for Women Racers; Adds Junior Races to Closing Weekend
Milwaukee, WI – Women Pro 1/2/3 and Women Cat 3/4 racers will be given some added perks during this year's 11-day Tour of America's Dairyland presented by Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, which gets underway June 17 in Shorewood, Wisconsin.
Every woman registrant will be given a swag bag courtesy of Boston Store and Younkers, while supplies last, as well as a copy of ShePedals magazine. In addition, ShePedals magazine will be providing coveted musette goodie bags as primes throughout the Tour of America's Dairyland to women racers.
Tour of America's Dairyland promoter, Midwest Cycling Series, has also announced that Junior races will be added to the closing weekend. Races featuring Junior Boys and Girls Under 15 and 15-18 will kick off the days' race schedules on June 26-27 at the ISCorp Downer Classic in Milwaukee and Carl Zach Cycling Classic in Waukesha, respectively.
Racers of multiple categories will compete for over $105,000 in cash and primes in the 2010 Tour of America's Dairyland. Opening night on June 17 at the Shorewood Criterium Cycling Classic presented by Dr. Tim Hart and Rainbow Jersey Bicycles will feature Men and Women Pro races only, while all remaining venues will feature Women Cat 3/4, Pro Women 1/2/3, Cat 4/5, Cat 3, Masters 1/2/3/ 35+, Masters 4/5 35+, and Pro Men 1/2 races.
From Shorewood, pro and amateur racers will travel to eight other Wisconsin communities including Thiensville, Grafton, Appleton, Road America in Elkhart Lake (Road Race), Sheboygan, Waterloo, Greenbush (Road Race), and Fond du Lac, before concluding on Downer Avenue and in Waukesha.
Advance registration will remain open on SportsBaseOnline until June 13, 2010.
The high energy of the bicycling action will be complemented in most communities by family-friendly activities, entertainment, official Tour merchandise benefiting Racers Against Childhood Cancer (RACC), plenty of food and drink from local vendors, and much more.
Endorsed and supported by the Wisconsin Cycling Association and United States Cycling Federation, Tour of America's Dairyland updates will be posted on www.tourofamericasdairyland.com.
