Tour of America's Dairyland Sponsorships Extend Leaders Jerseys to More Categories
Wauwatosa, Wis. - Racers and spectators of this year's Tour of America's Dairyland presented by Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, June 16-26, will be seeing spots ... lots and lots of spots. Cow splotches, actually.
For the third consecutive year, the daily race winner in every category (Pro Men 1/2, Pro Women 1/2/3, Cat 2/3 Men, Cat 3/4 Women, Cat 4/5 Men, Masters 1/2/3 35+ and Masters 3/4 35+) will receive the coveted black-and-white Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board winner's jersey on the podium.
The Overall Pro Men leader at the end of every day will don the yellow-and-white cow print jersey while, recently announced, the Overall Pro Women leader will receive the Becker Law Pink Jersey. Overall 2010 Men's and Women's Pro titles went to James Stemper (KENDA 5-hour ENERGY p/b GEARGRINDER and Sarah Caravella (Team CARD).
Also returning this year is the generous Amateur Green Jersey sponsorship from Oarsman Capital, a Registered Investment Advisor based in Wisconsin. Daily, the overall leading Cat 2 male and female racer will be awarded the Oarsman Capital Green Jersey. Last year, Chris Arndt (LAPT) and Tina Schofield (zMotion) took top amateur honors along with the Overall green-and-white jerseys.
New in 2011 is the SportsBaseOnline Red Jersey, which will be presented to the daily leader in the Men's Cat 4/5 category. The Overall Men's Cat 4/5 winner will receive the Pactimo-designed red-and-white cow print jersey along with $350 from SportsBaseOnline.
In all, over $126,000 in cash and mega primes will be awarded to racers of multiple categories during the 2011 Tour of America's Dairyland presented by Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. Tour of America's Dairyland, a stop of the USA CRITS Series, will feature nine criteriums, one road race, and a non-aero equipment time trial across 11 Wisconsin communities: Shorewood, Thiensville, Grafton, Waukesha, Greenbush, Schlitz Park in Downtown Milwaukee, Ripon, Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, Downer Avenue on Milwaukee's Eastside, and Madison, the state Capitol.
